マドモアゼルのファーストEP。これは、この溝！ブログが、世界に向けて発表する初めての作品である。ブログ内に新たに設立されたミニ・ネットレーベル、Mizouからの、試験的な第一弾リリース作品となる。
マドモアゼルの音楽は、スムーズでグルーヴィなサウンドの内側に、とてもエクスペリメンタルな表情をもっている。その横顔は、ジャズであり、ファンクであり、ブルースであり、ダンス・ミュージックであり、プログレッシヴ・ロックであり、ポストロックであり、アンビエントであり、エレクトロニカであり、それら全てのフュージョンであり、そのどれかひとつだけに当てはまるようなものでもない。
鬱蒼と茂る熱帯雨林を駆け巡るような複雑に入り組み錯綜するオーガニックなビートにのって、繊細なタッチで叩かれるピアノの鍵盤から、自由な躍動感のある流麗なるメロディが放たれる。走り、止まり、上昇し、下降する。変幻自在なブレイクビートと飛び跳ねるベースライン。マドモアゼルのサウンドには、淑女と野生児が共生している。
インドネシアのバンドンを拠点に活動するソロ・アーティスト、エツァ・メイシャラの創作活動の中から、そのブレインチャイルドとして誕生したマドモアゼル。これまでの彼女の作品のスタイルを知る人は、ここで展開されているサウンドに少しばかり驚かされ、ちょっと戸惑うことになるかも知れない。本作には、エツァ・メイシャラの音楽のトレードマークであった、ローファイ・フォークやドリームポップ、ダークなオルタナティヴ・ロックといった要素は、ほとんど（表面的には）見受けられない。
しかし、それだからこそ、このマドモアゼルでの、鮮烈なフュージョン・ジャズや、実験的な色合いの強いダンス・ミュージックからは、彼女のもつ多彩な音楽的才能がきらめく、その新たな一面を垣間見ることもできるはずである。そして、その実にアグレッシヴなピアノの鍵盤さばきは、かなり高度な演奏家としての才気を感じさせてくれる非凡なものでもある。まるで、高速のブレイクビートをクールに乗りこなすマッコイ・タイナーのようだ。
しかも、ここでは、椎名林檎率いる東京事変の「秘密」（06年）のインストゥルメンタル・カヴァー・ヴァージョンも聴くことができる。強烈なまでの日本的な感覚をベースにもつ東京事変のクールな音楽性を、真っ向から実験ジャズ／アヴァン・ポップとして捉えたリメイク作法は、かなり興味深い。あくまでもマドモアゼル調の独特な音の解釈が、感性の閃きとなって鳴っている。
タイトルの「バイポーラー・ディスオーダー」とは、双極性障害や躁鬱病を意味する。その空間には、ふたつの極の間を不安定に揺れ動く、欲望に翻弄される自我が存在している。アーティスト、エツァ・メイシャラのクリエイティヴィティが、もうひとつの表現者としての極に振り切れたところに、マドモアゼルとしての顔と、その音楽が現れる。
アッパーとダウナー、躁と鬱、貞淑と野生、ロゴスとパトス。グルーヴィなスィングと、その揺らぎの極み。そこに現出した五つの覚醒／妄想の形態こそが、このマドモアゼルの「バイポーラー・ディスオーダー」である。アニマとプシュケーが飛び交う、目眩のするような揺らめきの音楽世界へ、ようこそ。

Mademoiselle’s first EP. It is this groove! The blog is the work of the first to announce to the world. New net label was founded in the mini-blog, Mizou from the first release as an experimental work.
Mademoiselle’s music is smooth and groovy sound inside, has a very experimental look. Their profiles, and jazz, and funk, and blues and dance music and progressive rock, post rock and is ambient, and electronica, and fusion of them all, each one of them nor does it apply to only one of such.

Riding conflicting
入Ri組Mi complex organic beats that run through dense and lush rain forests, from the piano keys are hit by a delicate touch, releasing a free dynamic sense of melody Elegant Melodies. Run, stop, rise, descends. Breakbeat bouncing baseline and protean. Mademoiselle sounds, to coexist with the ladies wild boy.
Solo artist based in Bandung, Indonesia, from A-Etsu Meishara creative activities, such Bureinchairudo Mademoiselle was born. Anyone who knows the style of her previous work, it sounds a little bit surprised that is developed here, it may be a little confusing.The album was the trademark of A-Etsu Meishara music, folk and lo-fi dream pop, alternative rock and dark elements, most (superficially) not be found.
But that’s why, in this Mademoiselle, jazz fusion and vivid, from shades Ino Tsuyoshi experimental dance music, the diverse musical talent with a sparkling, her face would be even a glimpse of their new be. And the judge is really aggressive piano keys, but also make me feel something extraordinary as a brilliant musician fairly advanced. Almost seems to be a cool ride McCoy Tyner fast breakbeat.
And here, led by Tokyo Jihen Shiina’s “Secret” (2006) can also be heard instrumental cover version. Cool music of Tokyo Jihen with Japan-based to a strong sense of jazz, experimental squarely / avant-pop manner as captured remake is pretty interesting. The unique sound of the tone of Mademoiselle interpretation only, and that spark of sensibility ringing.
The title “bipolar disorder” is meant to bipolar disorder or manic depression. The space is unstable and swings between the poles of the two, that there is a desire at the mercy of the ego.
